Eastern Edge Gallery is 25 years old! Join us on November 7th for a special 25th Anniversary Celebration of Eastern Edge Gallery, St. John’s first artist-run centre. Both the live and silent auction will feature fantastic works of art from some of the most acclaimed visual artists in the St. John’s community all past or present members of Eastern Edge. Music by acclaimed entertainers THE ONCE and JOHN SHEEHAN.

*** New artwork has been added to the live auction! Jean Claude Roy’s Cobb’s Arm and John Haney’s Island 16. As well as an amazing door prize from the Delta Halifax + Porter Airlines, a two nights stay and return flight to Halifax for two!

THE ONCE a trio based out of St. John's Newfoundland is comprised of Geraldine Hollett (Burin), Phil Churchill (Corner Brook) and Andrew Dale (Coley's Point). Clever arrangements and stunning harmonies make The Once a fresh and exciting new group. Their musical influences include folk/traditional music from Newfoundland and the British Isles.

JOHN SHEEHAN has quickly gained tremendous national recognition and exposure as a stand-up comedian. John has performed with the Halifax Comedy Festival, toured with Canada’s premiere comedy club franchise, Yuk Yuks and was a featured performer at the St. John’s Comedy Festival.

Proceeds from the gala will go back into Eastern Edge Gallery’s ongoing endeavors to assist, promote and showcase contemporary artists and art forms in Newfoundland. We hope that you will be a part of this event celebrating the evolving history of contemporary art in Newfoundland. It is sure to be a wonderful evening.
